Soft Spot Tech ("we", "us", "our") operates the Soft Spot Tech business portal and related services. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our services you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
- Account information — name, email, phone, and login credentials.
- Customer & billing data — customers, quotes, invoices, payments, and projects you manage in the portal.
- Integration data — when you connect a third-party service (such as QuickBooks Online or Twilio), we access and store the data needed to provide that integration, using tokens you authorize.
- Usage & technical data — log data, device and browser information, and activity within the application.
How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our services.
- To sync data between the portal and services you connect, at your direction.
- To process payments and generate invoices and reports.
- To communicate with you about your account and support requests.
- To secure our services and prevent fraud or abuse.
Text Messaging & Mobile Information
If you give us your mobile number, we may contact you by SMS text message about your service requests, projects, appointments, and invoices. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile numbers are used solely by Soft Spot Tech to communicate with you, and are shared only with the messaging provider that delivers the messages on our behalf (Twilio), which is prohibited from using them for its own purposes.

Third-Party Integrations
When you connect QuickBooks Online, we access your QuickBooks data solely to sync the customers, invoices, and payments you choose to push from the portal. We use OAuth access tokens issued by Intuit and store them securely in encrypted form. We do not sell this data and use it only to provide the integration. You may disconnect at any time from the portal settings, which revokes our access.
Data Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, encryption of sensitive stored credentials, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
Data Retention & Your Choices
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services and meet legal obligations. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.
